This wonderful modest and humble person has died (22nd01. 22) He will be sadly missed but his inspirations and kindness to humanity will live on. He is the shining  light in the sky which will light the Universe for ever. I like to think he is hibernating and when it’s time to wake up the bright light will completely fill him with its warmth and kindness. His smile is will always be remembered, such a lovely gentle smile always there in his face and body.

He will always be remembered for being prominent in the Vietnamese war, travelling to lecture on ‘interconnectedness and ‘interbeing’. He was nominated by Martin Luther King for the Nobel Peace Prize, his ideas for peace, when they could be applied, would build world brotherhood. Unfortunately Martin Luther King breached (apparently) protocol which offended the Nobel committee by publishing the nomination letter, so the award was not made.

He wrote many books that are published world wide, his teachings combined traditional Zen meditation practices, plus a wide range of beautiful quotes about ‘self’. He had a stroke in 2014 and eventually moved to Thailand and two years later back to Vietnam where he received traditional medicine treatments for his stroke. He died on the 21st January 2022.

Love this Quote:

Take my hand.
We will walk.
We will only walk.
We will enjoy our walk
without thinking of arriving anywhere.
Walk peacefully.
Walk happily.
Our walk is a peace walk.
Our walk is a happiness walk.
Then we learn
that there is no peace walk;
that peace is the walk;
that there is no happiness walk;
that happiness is the walk.
We walk for ourselves.
We walk for everyone
always hand in hand.
Walk and touch peace every moment.
Walk and touch happiness every moment.
Each step brings a fresh breeze.
Each step makes a flower bloom under our feet.
Kiss the Earth with your feet.
Print on Earth your love and happiness.
Earth will be safe
when we feel in us enough safety.

Thich Nhat Hanh is Reiki and Reiki is Thich Nhat Hanh. We are all looking for a non violent world, where peace is the religion on all levels. This wonderful man spent his entire life on this mission, without ego, without power, always humble and simple. He has left his mission for us all, we must always try to achieve this by changing our life to one of practice, without practicing we cannot achieve anything. It’s very easy to say “oh I’ll practice tomorrow or later” that is not right, we must spend time every day and night with our practice. Moments of doing this is really all it takes to become our true self and nature.

Thich Nhat Hanh will always be seen as true love, to miss him would be wrong, to enjoy him and all he stands for will be right. I would imagine he would hate us to grieve, as deaths our  life’s purpose, all the razzamatazz of funerals etc were not part of his vocabulary.
