I know I keep on about nature but really it is my passion as is Reiki. Reiki is Nature and Nature is Reiki. I keep thinking of the Perry Como song of long ago, ‘Catch a Falling Star’ such magical and inspiring words. Love this quote.

This body is like the earth. Our bones are like mountains. Our belly is like the sea. Our flesh is like the dust and mud. The hair that grows on us is like plants, and the skin from which this hair grows is like arable land, and the area of our body where hair does not grow is akin to saline soil. Our sadness is like darkness and our laughter like sunlight. Sleep is brother to death. Our childhood is like spring, our youth like summer. Our maturity is like the autumn, our old age like the winter of life. All of our movements are like the stars moving in the sky.’ Not sure who wrote it.

It says it all doesn’t it? we are the earth, we are peace, we are not rulers although we think we are, we are just a very small part of this wonderful connection. Yet we have the power to destroy. We need to learn and understand that in the harshest conditions nature will survive, we will connect and act accordingly.

I belong to “Fauna and Flora” who do great work around the world trying to save creatures and flora that are near extinction www.fauna-flora.org I know it appears to be ‘all about money but this company needs funding.

Here is another quote that I love.

When your eyes are tired
the world is tired also.
When your vision has gone,
no part of the world can find you.
Time to go into the dark
where the night has eyes
to recognize its own.
There you can be sure
you are not beyond love.
The dark will be your home
tonight.
The night will give you a horizon
further than you can see.
You must learn one thing.
The world was made to be free in.
Give up all the other worlds
except the one to which you belong.
Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet
confinement of your aloneness
to learn
anything or anyone
that does not bring you alive
is too small for you.

~ David Whyte

Catching a star on you hand or looking up at the stars brings us peace and light, shinning within and all around us. There is always light even in darkness, darkness is a colour and doesn’t bring evil. We bring evil if there is such a word, within us, all other evil is a manifestation of the human nature.

My granddaughter Astrid loves stars and fairies as when I was little my mum said there were fairies at the bottom of the garden and we have to be very quiet and without ego to see them. She thinks in the same way, only it’s me “Grandma” who is saying this narrative!

The fairy princess is in her sparkling dress

at the bottom of the garden.

Look quickly she is there but only for a moment, in a flash of light she is gone, flying on the wing to who knows where. Come back to me for I shall wait in silence and wonder. I know you are there. I am but a human and a little girl with dreams and wonder. Come back I say, I need o see you again to bring me happiness and light, like the stars shinning in the sky.
I always saw them on the Rhubarb patch and yes at the bottom of the garden!

Catching a fallen star, is the ultimate moment, the only moment, catching light brings us peace and the roots of Reiki, which grow deep in the earth. To revive and grow again, nurturing us with molecules of healing from their depths.

We really don’t need to look any further, we don’t have to believe in this we just need to FEEL it.

I would welcome your thoughts.

love Jenny. xx
