Okuden ( Reiki level 2) is know as’ The Deepening’ in many ancient Japanese practices, symbols and mantras are involved. Reiki 1 is known as ‘The Entrance’ or the start of your Reiki journey, Okuden is much deeper, literally going deeper into your Reiki journey, it is also known as ‘Practitioner Level’ meaning you will be qualified to go into public practice, volunteering also for charities helping people to overcome difficulties and trauma.
I volunteered for a charity after the horrific Bosnia war, I went back 3 times to the scarred city of Sarajevo, treating the war victims, rape victims, etc. It was a very humbling experience, one which I will never forget.
