Just For Today...

I have been thinking a great deal about where certain organisations are trying to take  Reiki, with alarm. A Reiki Council has been devised to regulate both Reiki Teachers and Reiki Practitioners and we are being urged to look at the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and core curriculum guidlines. This is NOT REIKI ! These people are trying to bring Reiki under an organised umbrella that other therapies such as Refexology etc follow, it is also their intention that  CPD (continuous professional development) points are given to our students who have to earn them!

Reiki is gentle and very spiritual  and cannot be put in a catorgory with rules and guidelines, its absolutely appalling, it takes away the essence and the spirit of this wonderful energy. Mikao Usui had no time for power related rules his system is about simplicity, gentleness, purity, following our intuition and being guided by our intent.

I have no intention of following these ridiculous rules as my intuition and my spirit are guiding me the way they always have and I will not go against my will. Reiki is individual to all of us and this must continue, there is no 'right way' or ' wrong way'  so who is going to observe all this and decide whether a student or Master is learning or teaching in the 'right' way? ........Just For Today Do Not anger....!

Re: Reiki Council RN Reiki Master

I agree-- the governemnt need not control such a simple and "from the heart"modality. It really doesn't fit into a tidy box with exact boundaries. I have taken many energy therapies and Reiki is my favorite because of it's simplicity.-I hope it stays that way.
